The full rate card
What each job costs, worked out to the dollar.
Most carpet companies quote a range and settle the number on-site. Ours is printed below, so you can work out roughly what a job costs before anyone knocks on your door. Measure the room, count the linear feet of any doorway that needs re-seaming, and the figures below will get you close. The final number still depends on the room, and the estimate itself is always free.
The five numbers that decide most jobs
Stretching is priced by square footage, repair by the hour after a covered first hour, and re-seaming by the linear foot of doorway or hallway it takes. Repair time is billed prorated to the minute, not rounded up to the next hour, which is the detail most people are surprised by.
Before a stretch, furniture needs to be at least five feet off the walls so we can reach the perimeter. We move the heavy pieces on Teflon sliders for a fee. We do not dismantle furniture.

Closet patches, and when they cost more
A donor patch is free when a scrap that does not match exactly is an acceptable fix. If you would rather have a closer color and pattern match than that scrap gives you, supplying your own remnant is an option, and matching to it costs more than the standard donor patch. Ask for the number when you call. Any extra time that a closet patch takes beyond the standard visit is billed at the same prorated hourly rate as repair time.
Discounts are available for contractors, realtors, military personnel, property management companies, carpet cleaning companies, and elderly customers. They vary by project, so ask when you request your estimate.
What the price actually buys
A $500 iron, and a lifetime guarantee, because the cheap version comes undone.
All stretching includes our Lifetime Guarantee. Free Photo Estimates: text photos of the damage and we will price the job before you commit to anything.
Every seam we close is heated with a radio-wave iron that cost us $500, because it heats the tape adhesive all the way through instead of scorching the surface the way a standard iron does. That produces a stronger bond than most original installations used in the first place, which is exactly why so many seams eventually come apart on their own.
The same logic applies to stretching. Cheap stretching, done with the wrong tools or rushed, brings the wrinkles straight back within a season or two. Left wrinkled long enough, carpet can delaminate: the backing separates from the fibre, and at that point repair stops being an option and replacement is the only one left. That is why every stretch we do carries a lifetime guarantee. We are not paying that guarantee out if the work is right the first time.
A worked example: a 500 sq ft living room
The minimum service charge of $275.00 covers the first 300 sq ft of stretching. A 500 sq ft room has 200 sq ft left over, billed at $0.83 per sq ft, which comes to $166.00. Add those together and a straightforward stretch on a room that size comes to $441.00.
That figure covers stretching only. Cutting and re-seaming at a doorway is priced separately, at $25.00 per linear foot, and repair work for any actual damage is separate again. Doorways, closets, stairs and furniture that has to be moved all change the real number, which is exactly why we price every job from photos or an on-site look before it is booked, at no charge either way.
