Chris Profitt, the owner
Chris was raised in Alaska and moved to Washington as a young man, and he started the way most people in this trade start: working for somebody else's carpet cleaning company. He went on to found and sell several carpet cleaning businesses of his own, plus a retail flooring shop, before deciding the actual gap in the market was repair, not replacement, and starting this one.
Their own materials describe a client list that has included the founders of Microsoft, Amazon and AT&T Cellular, along with other prominent families around Puget Sound. We are repeating that as their claim rather than something we have independently verified, but it lines up with the kind of quiet, referral-driven book of business a small owner-operated repair company tends to build after decades in the trade.
Chris is specific about what he thinks a client is owed: exactly what they paid for, an appointment time that holds, communication that does not go quiet halfway through a job, respect for the house while the work is happening, and workmanship that is guaranteed rather than merely hoped for.
Marcelo Ledesma, the one who does the work
Read through this company’s Google reviews and one name shows up almost every time, and it is not Chris’s. Marcelo Ledesma is the lead technician: the person who actually shows up at the house and does the stretching, patching and seam work described throughout this site.
His background is over two decades in flooring, and it is worth being precise about what that means here, because this company repairs carpet that is already on the floor. It does not sell or install new carpet, hardwood, vinyl or tile. Marcelo’s years in those trades are his résumé, the reason he can read how a floor was originally built almost on sight, not a service you can book from this site.

Tricia Profitt, who books it
When you call and get a time, that time comes from Tricia. She handles scheduling and appointment confirmations, and she is the reason the crew does not run an hour behind by the third job of the day. Separately from carpet, she has spent 32 years as a paralegal at the same law firm, a second career she has kept running alongside this one the entire time.
Chris and Tricia raised five children together. It is a small, family-operated team, and after a conversation with any one of the three of them, that tends to be obvious.
