Carpet Repair
Carpet Repair for Burns, Tears and Pet Damage
Cut it out, seam a matched piece back in, and the repair should be hard to find. Most jobs are done the same afternoon.
Cut out, matched, seamed back in
We cut the damaged section out clean, through carpet and pad, and seam in a donor piece taken from a closet, from under furniture, or from leftover install scrap. The donor is cut so the pile runs the same direction as the surrounding carpet, which is the actual difference between a repair you can find and one you can't. It works on burns, tears, fraying and pet damage, and on cut pile, loop and patterned carpet alike. Most jobs run one to two hours.
Where the donor piece comes from
Nobody wants a hole cut in a closet floor to fix a hole in the living room, and we don't leave it that way. The donor spot is chosen so it's never seen again, and matching pile direction and colour there is what makes the repaired section blend into the rest of the room instead of standing out as a square of slightly different carpet.
Marcelo does nearly all of this work himself, and he's named in almost every review we get for it. Call (425) 329-5162.

Why a rushed repair is worse than no repair
A patch cut without matching pile direction catches the light differently from every angle in the room, so it reads as a square of the wrong carpet rather than a fix. It's the single most common thing we get called out to correct after someone else's attempt, and it's entirely avoidable. The donor piece is chosen and cut with the pile direction as the first decision, not an afterthought.

Most of what looks like a reason to replace a carpet is actually a repair.
